Description

In 1964 and 1966, when Serge Gainsbourg participated in two public recordings at the Maison de la Radio, he was undoubtedly the star of the evening. Then, in his own words, his "blue period" ends, between Left Bank songs, jazz influences and exotic rhythms. He is the master of chiaroscuro and double meaning, a poet of biting irony. In these eight moving songs, alone at the piano or accompanied by a guitar and a double bass, Gainsbourg takes on the role of the disappointed lover as well as the disillusioned cynic. These unreleased recordings are a perfect summary of the first decade of his career. Find these unreleased releases on vinyl, on a pink disc.
